Hi!

Welcome to APLAbs, our Digital Democracy Blueprint. We are looking to create a framework of innovative and disruptive policy approaches and suggestions that encapsulate the digitalisation of democratic systems. We envision this to orbit around three pillars of democratic participation: data-driven policy, taking action, e-governance.

We want to gather academic research (preferably peer-reviewed), that present tools, policy and research that argue and present the case for the implementation of such a digital, democratic system. We want to keep this as open as possible, so we encourage whoever wishes to join and contribute to do so.

Take a look in our contributions page, check the list of our contributors and the guidelines we maintain for the drafting/appearance of the blueprint.

We imagine such a digital, participatory governance system (we will refer to it as "Digital Democracy") to encompass 3 things:

Data - Driven

Harnessing data to form accurate and agile policy and legislation.

Data-Driven Policy

Taking Action

Empowering individuals to take action on political issues (accountability, transparency).

Participation

Accountability

E-Governance

Every interaction a person has with their state.
